FOCUS: Develop students' confidence, teamwork, communication and motivation as well as awareness of the range of careers and routes into employment available.

200 students got an interactive day of activities from a variety of Birmingham businesses - helping them to find out more about the world of work and how they can enter the jobs market in their region.

Volunteers from Kwikfit, the University of Birmingham, Francesco Hair Group and BAM Construction ran practical workshops to give students real insight into potential careers. This included hairstyling and barbering in a classroom salon, a construction workshop and getting under the bonnet of a car.
